  Canal Fulton is host to many run / walk marathons. Races are routed through the picturesque, historic and natural beauty of downtown Canal Fulton, the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath, and Olde Muskingum.Trail. The shady, flat terrain parallels the Tuscarawas River through deciduous forests and rural and urban landscapes Visitors also enjoy hiking and biking the trails as well as canoeing and kayaking the Tuscarawas River or taking a ride on the St. Helena III canal boat.
